Welcome to my Practice!

I have limited availability for new clients!

(Note: I am in person only in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle; I do not offer telehealth)

Welcome! I work with people who are experiencing any kind of “stuckness” in their lives. This can show up in a number of different ways: as feelings of tension and anxiety, as a sense of disconnectedness from yourself and others, or just as a general feeling that things are “not right” in your life. There are very good reasons why you feel the way you do. We all develop coping strategies to deal with the stresses in our lives, and this is a good and necessary thing. But these mechanisms often outlive their usefulness. I will work with you to identify what is no longer serving you so that you can show up for yourself and others feeling calm, connected, and whole.

My approach is primarily humanistic and experiential, with a strong somatic component. This means I think people are good, and that we all thrive when we are held in a safe, non-judgmental space. Mindfully focusing on bodily sensations can be a very effective way of seeing how you are holding the past inside you; I can guide you to practice releasing these tensions somatically. I am also trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS, or “parts work”), a trauma-informed approach that works with your system to facilitate internal healing and help you release old burdens. I draw on elements of other approaches as appropriate.

There is no specific approach, however, that is a substitute for a strong therapeutic relationship. I will meet you where you are, listen to your goals, and check in with you regularly to make sure our work is meeting your needs. My goal is to promote in you a deep, sustained, internal compassion. I will work to make myself irrelevant to you.
